Traveling takes time, money, and energy! And life has only gotten more expensive. It’s hard to schedule time away from your job – and even if you can, money and energy are entirely separate issues.
So, don’t wait. There’s NEVER a good time to travel.
Prioritize Travel While You’re Young
If you’re single and young (20s, 30s…early 40s?), NOW is the BEST time to travel. You have the energy! But once you have a family and the bills start to stack up – oh boy – you’re really locked in.
Life is Too Unpredictable
Putting off your travel plans isn’t always the answer, simply because there’s always something that will pop up out of the blue – health issues, family issues, or whatever else!
Life’s responsibilities, be it family or job-related, can often rain down on your head until you’re drowning in them.
Live on Your Terms, Not Theirs
Be impulsive. Live spontaneously. Screw what people think. Travel.
Honestly, what’s stopping you? Well, most of us fear judgement from other people. Though, in reality, NOBODY cares.
Some people care enough to spew their hatred to random strangers on the internet, naturally. But in real life? NOT ONE SOUL gives a damn.
Say what you really think. Share your thoughts. Take that road trip. Live how you want.
Get CLEAR on What Really Matters
Why are you traveling? What do you really want to get out of the experience?
People travel for all sorts of reasons, mind you.
For me, I LOVE taking really short, intense trips, seeing and experiencing as much as I possibly can within my limited time frame. I’m there, and back, and done.
Some say rushing through your trips is a “waste of time.” I tend to disagree. I made awesome memories by doing this, and it’s WAY cheaper!
If I’m traveling with another person, I tend to take it SLOW – oh, and it costs more money (hotels, food, gas, etc.).
